Efficacy in diagnosis
A single-centre study comparing clinical diagnosis and result of a DaTSCAN image with post-mortem findings in 79 patients is ongoing.[1-2]
To date, post-mortem data are available for 20 of these patients.[1]
Specificity - ability to exclude DLB accurately
The investigators concluded that DaTSCAN diagnoses DLB more accurately than clinical criteria.[1]
