Case study 2

History

  • Male, 48 years.
  • The patient had a two-year history of symptoms prior to being seen at the movement disorder clinic.
  • He had a bilateral rest tremor in the arms which was worse on the right than the left.
  • He developed a general slowness of movement and a stooped posture.
  • He suffered from a behavioral disorder/psychosis requiring neuroleptic therapy.
  • Converting to an atypical neuroleptic had no effect on the neurological features.
