Examination findings
- The patient exhibited symmetrical axial and limb rigidity.
- He had a stooped posture and neck flexion.
- He had both a rest and postural tremor of 4 Hz which was worse on the right than the left side.
- Tremor was re-emergent (ie. it settled temporarily between rest and action) and dependent (ie. it worsened in the hands when walking).
- Facial expression and voice modulation were reduced.
- Did the patient have Parkinson’s disease?
